Solnua Red Angus – Leading the field in Germany
A very famous heifer is being offered for auction in Germany soon with a strong Solnua link.
The breeding community of Ruppel/Rücklinger is offering the red Angus heifer ‘VAS Bluna’ for sale as part of the heifer championship in Großkreutz. She comes from the VAS (Vulkan Angus Schotten) herd and was bred by Artur Ruppel and Werner Rücklinger (www.angus-schotten.de). She is in-calf to the outstanding Solnua Red Angus Sire: ‘HW Red Lamborghini V772’.
‘VAS Bluna’ was the heaviest heifer in her group, had the highest daily gain (1.3kg/day) at 400 days and has an RZF of 118. She was also the best heifer in the VAS operation at the 200 and 365 day weigh-ins.
‘HW Red Lamborghini V772’ needs no introduction. Bred in the ‘HW Netherton’ angus herd in Scotland. Sired by the Top Red Angus for marbling, ‘HW Red Maker S181’, a ‘Red Six Mike Grand Slam’ son and with greats like ‘HF El Tigre’, ‘Rawburn Transformer’, ‘Royal Added Value’, ‘Netherton Figo’ and ‘Netherton Red Essence H483’ on his dam’s side, HW Red Lamborghini’ has gained legend status in Ireland and excelled for Breeders internationally.
