Steeped in Herefords from the start!
Our AI organization traces its roots to the dawn of artificial insemination in Ireland in the late 1940s. Since then, nearly 700 Hereford bulls have been approved for AI use nationwide—the majority passing through our doors.
With over 70 years of partnership alongside Hereford breeders in Ireland and across the globe, the recent European Hereford Conference felt like a true ‘full-circle’ moment. Our Beef Programme Manager, Rose Goulding, had the privilege of presenting an overview of our breeding program as well as our current Hereford sire lineup to an extraordinary audience of international delegates.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the Irish Hereford Breed Society on hosting an outstanding event. Bringing together breeders, industry experts, and delegates from across Europe and beyond, the conference showcased the very best of Irish pedigree genetics, sustainable farm management, and world-class rural hospitality.
The resounding success of the week reinforces Ireland’s leading position in global livestock breeding. Warmest congratulations to Alan, his team, the Council, and the entire membership of the Irish Hereford Breed Society on a triumphant conference that leaves a lasting legacy for the breed.
